Florida Vacay Part 1

Vero is where our heart is ❤️

We had a wedding to attend in Orlando at the end of June so we decided to make a family vacation out of it. We spent the first 5 days of our trip in our hometown, Vero Beach.

The boys were ready to hit the road bright and early Thursday morning. Let the 16 hour road trip begin!

With a little help from Mickey Mouse the boys were happy campers and we made great time and managed the drive in one day.

We even let Mikey have his turn at the wheel.
We stayed at the boy’s Grandma’s house and they were excited to try out her new swing set.

It’s not a trip to Vero without a dinner at Waldo’s.

Saturday morning we stopped by Dixie Barber Shop to get the boys some much needed hair cuts!

Gotta stay fresh on vacation.

After haircuts we attempted some family photos at Memorial Island. Unfortunately the boys had other things in mind. Such as running amuck and crying every time the camera came near them. Better luck next time.

Sunday morning we headed to Jaycee Beach for some breakfast and fun at the park and beach.

Mikey was super excited to race his daddy down the slide

The boys absolutely LOVED the beach. They are definitely Florida babies at heart.

Sunday afternoon we spent some time at my parent’s house enjoying a BBQ for Father’s Day. Mikey loved playing in the fort from my childhood and Tucker enjoyed cooling off in the pool and hanging with his Uncle Cody.

Monday we spent most of the day running around getting last minute things for the wedding. The boys took a helicopter ride at the Indian River Mall

And made some wishes at the fountains at the outlet mall.

Then we spent some quality time with the boy’s favorite cousins, Ty and Owen!

Tuesday we ate lunch at Squidlips, one of my favorite places to eat on the Indian River in Sebastain.

Then we checked out some fish from the dock.

Tucker was happy to show off his new walking skills to his Papa Rock and Uncle Cody.

We had to say goodbye to Uncle Cody and Aunt Laura

Then we took a nice long walk by the river. Mikey loved spending time with his Noni.

And Tucker loved cruisin with his Papa Rock!

We are so grateful we got to spend some much needed time with our family this summer. The boys are so loved by so many and there is nothing greater than watching them experience some of the same joys of our childhoods in our hometown.

Needless to say the first half of our trip tuckered these boys out.
